Early darkness

I have never liked the change of clocks at this time of year as it brings such early darkness. I love the long days of summer, however, tonight after a huge torrential downpour, the skies cleared and the moon shone brightly.
I think it was trying to tell me to try and enjoy the early dark nights. No chance!
