The Lawn

...at UVa. Tomorrow afternoon/evening it'll be overrun by little ones in costume (we saw a few of those today posing for pics) and by students. The rooms along here, on both sides behind the pillars, are the old ones designed by Jefferson. They have fireplaces - we saw stacks of wood by the doors - and a definite ambiance. I think fourth year students can apply to live in them. 

Had a good visit with I., a relaxing hour reading in the Rotunda, and really a delicious dinner at her dining hall. I was impressed - it was good! and free for parents!
