Way up high

Had a walk along the lower pipeline, turning at the point it joined the wet and muddy track. On the way back I heard a Kereru fly past and it settled near the top of a tall tree just in front of me. The sky was bright enough to cause a bit of juggling of shutter speed and ISO. Happy enough with the result.

I am seeing so many Kereru in the near vicinity of our home. It's a real pleasure to see these handsome birds.

While I was out walking I saw many small groups of children with one or more adults walking on the footpaths by the local roads. Most of the children were in some form of fancy dress. Most of the adults were not. Everyone was well behaved,
