Sad Day

We went to a funeral today.  My friend’s husband died recently after a long illness.  I have known them both for over forty years and remember him for his cheeky sense of humour and his loving attitude.  Over the years we have been to this crematorium for many of our loved ones and today brought back numerous memories and sadness.

Later we had a drink with our friends that we haven’t seen for some time and, as always, we promised to meet up again soon and not leave it so long until we see each other  again.  Let’s hope we do.  Time is very precious.
