Hallowe’en

Slains Castle is famously known to be the inspiration for the setting of Bram Stoker’s novel, Dracula, so it was the perfect place to visit on Hallowe’en.

The castle is especially eerie at this time of year and today was no exception.  The sound of waves crashing off the rocks below the castle was almost deafening and crows were a menacing presence as they circled overhead.  The harsh sound of their cawing was chilling.  It is said that the crumbling ruin isn’t completely abandoned and is haunted …by Count Dracula!

I didn’t see him as I wandered through the castle but I sensed that there was a spectre following me around.  It was only when I edited the images I took that I saw it … scary!!!
