Resurfacing

Day 2 of long awaited resurfacing of nearby Bartlow Road today.  We've had a letter, maps, dates, notices and signs out for over a week to tell us when NOT to park on the road.  (Unfortunately the essential date and time information on the signs had been washed off with heavy rain a couple of days ago - see what I mean in extra).

As we walked the dog this morning we noticed parked cars and anxious looking people in high viz with mobile phones and clipboards knocking on doors.  I hope they managed to get in touch with everyone as the half-a-million-£-machine made it's way towards them.

It was impressive.  This 'Tripod Crest' scrapes the top layer of the road off and is then followed by something re-laying the tarmac.

Hope we don't get gaps like before....
