Lemon Lodge . . .

. . . is the name of this rhododendron.  I had been in my previous garden for thirty years and it is the mature rhododendrons that I still miss.  They grew so well in the volcanic soil of Rotorua.  This new Lemon Lodge has adapted to the Nelson clay and is covered in blooms.  It is now above knee height and I am hopeful I will see it mature over the next decade.  Where that lupin came from I don't know.  I didn't plant it but it is welcome to stay.
