Melted piston!!

This is what cylinder number 4 looks like inside my exploded Alfa! :(

Melted piston (you can see at the bottom) & badly scored bore. Economically un-repairable!

Second hand engine with same mileage sourced, fingers crossed its good......!

The joys of Italian car ownership... Sigh.
