A Story about a Fence

Nobody seems to have been motivated to remove this old metal fence post that is now a relic in the local woods. Originally it marked a boundary around an old 19th century Palmerston Fort which was sold by the war office to Plymouth City Council in 1958. It looks as though two attempts were made to reuse it as a post for a barbed wire fence. Now however it is obsolete. The Fort on the other hand has been reincarnated as a buddhist temple!
