Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Gas

Not too glamorous a picture but I want to record this happening…. All over Washington the natural gas lines are bing replaced, street by street. Now it’s our turn.   We of course talk with the workers…. they tell us the new pipes will last for 100 years… I wonder if the natural gas will…..  or the ability to burn it in our fireplaces knowing how it pollutes the atmosphere.  Today they turned it off early and then turned it back on end of the day and sent someone in to light the 2 pilot lights in our fireplaces…which is all we have that’s gas.    We’ve stopped using them pretty much, but I’m happy to know it won’t leak.   And if they should make a mistake and wreck the sewer line, it’s nice to know the portapotty isn’t far away!  :-)      No parking on this street or around the corner for a month!~   how can it take so long ?   Most of you know our condo is the one on the left end, and I know that electric pole is leaning!
Extra is the old fat leaky pipes and the new yellow ones.
