Swans

These ten life sized swan sculptures are at the Lochrin Basin at the end of the Union Canal.  Shona Kinloch was commissioned to create the work in 2006 as part of the redevlopment of the Fountainbridge area.  In 2017 one of these 50lb bronze swans was stolen and found a couple of hundred metres away in Gardner's Crescent .........

Today's play in the Play, Pie, Pint season was "Alfold" a story about the issues of racism and sexism in modern day Hungary.  I found the three characters to be so unsympathetic that I couldn't penetrate to the issues the play sought to examine.    

The long way home to do some chores took me past the swans.
