Pinecone?

Pinecone Ginger bloom to be more exact. We have several of these plants growing in the backyard. Gainesville, FL has a 'humid sub-tropical' climate. Plants in the Ginger family appreciated that and grow very happily here. They 'die back' in the winter and pop back up in the early Spring.
