God Awful Day, Godwits

One of those no morn, no noon November days that Thomas Hood wrote about. Ollie dog and I went to check on the family nursery as there has been some aggro. Afterwards we went for a quick walk in the rain along the Lawling Creek sea wall. At least the tide was in. We had an interesting chat with a man who was brought up on Foulness Island, I enjoyed talking to him about the time I walked The Broomway, Britain's most deadly route. I think the birds in my image are black-tailed godwits.
