Here we go again!

Gabori - Fondation Cartier

We saw this very interesting and quite beautiful show of paintings by Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, an indigenous artist from Bentinck Island, Queensland with our friend C. Gabori's community traditionally worked in 3 dimensional art forms, so she only started painting when she was 80 years old - quite an inspiration for older creatives! After the show, we had dinner at Chez Alphonse (rue Alphonse Daudet in the 14th). We caught the 62 bus back and C and J determined that they had both walked upwards of 18,000 steps for the day. I had spent the early part of the day reading and crocheting, so I was at only half of that... definitely a run on the agenda tomorrow morning!
