Stocking up

A&N set off to IKEA this morning to get drawer liners and other bits and pieces and I did a supermarket shop for home and for them. Home and unpacked my stuff then prepared the lamb shoulder we’re having for supper tonight and put it in the oven to cook long and slow whilst we’re busy. Took Paisley into the garden then put some more stuff into the car and took Paisley with me to their place. Not such a nice drive in the rain…you can’t see all the beautiful views so well.
Once at the house I unpacked all the shopping and put it away in the cleaned cupboards (so hard to decide where everything should go!). A&N had put all their crockery through the dishwasher and then got all that into the cupboards too. A couple of the cupboards are odd sizes and shapes…decided the triangular one with a magnetic door should be for vases as it’s not easy to open! Paisley enjoyed sniffing around and had fun in the garden amongst the leaves and all the new smells. Sunsets here are lovely - the sky was turning a bright glowing pink.
N carried the non-kitchen stuff we’ve brought over or that they bought today upstairs to make space for all their stuff from storage arriving on Monday. We decided not to start on the flat pack assemblage but they can do that Monday whilst they’re waiting for the man and van to arrive.
Home for supper (their favourite) then watched a film (Seven Pounds with Will Smith) before they had an early night and I caught up on Strictly. I think they’re wiped out by the excitement/enormity of it all, and all the many decisions.
