Lines, shape and colours

My Abstract Photography trainer says that natural abstract images should be about lines, shape and/or colours, it should be more or less alienating and definitely not immediately recognisable. The last thing is kind of hard when you've been photographing for a long while and have been taking macros or close-ups , because then many things will be recognisable no matter how close you get. My image today is probably not  mystery to many of you, these are the gills of a king oyster mushroom.

For this coming Thursday's Abstract Thursday challenge the optional theme is 'shape'. I hope you can find something at home, at work or wherever you go that you can capture so that the shape becomes the main subject and it is not immediately recognisable and thus looks abstract. This week's tag will be AT385.
