Blue Flowers

Always dashing around so didn't get a chance to go anywhere of great interest today.

This 'weed' is prolific throughout my garden. I have no clue as to what it is but unless I chop it down it keeps spreading & growing to around 4ft. The leaves have a lemony scent & the flowers are an intense blue.

If anyone knows what it is please let me know as it's baffled me for the 8 years I've lived here!

Addendum Thanks to a lovely person on Twitter I now know that this plant is called ALKANET..... It's a wild flower which has natural agents & pigments which can be used to dye fabric or be used on the skin or in hair!
