Mount of olives

The day started with a visit to the mount of olives to view the city from a high place! The Jewish cemetery is in the foreground and the Muslim cemetery is against the wall on the opposite side of the valley and in the middle and unseen is the Christian cemetery!

We walked down the Palm Sunday route from the mount of olives to the garden of gethsemane and went to see another Berlucci church in th garden and saw the olive trees which are thousands of years old!

From there we went in the coach to the Temple Mount to see the wailing wall and then walk through the dung gate into the ottoman city and see the Upper Room where they had the last supper and king David’s tomb.

We then set off for Bethlehem and went to the shepherds fields and another Berlucci church for the nativity.
