Common white butterfly

Although I saw it land on the jade plant I believe this little beauty soon fell asleep. It remained motionless for a long time while I tried different angles, exposures and not to fall into the frog pond.

My insect ID app said it's a common white which surprised me, given the yellow/orange and black features. The app's file photos were the same as mine so I have to believe it knows what it's talking about.

Thanks for hosting davidc. I didn't notice your optional theme until after I took this but even if I had, the little butterfly was such a delight to encounter that I would have posted it anyway. I don't see these often.
