Sadness

Back to work today... 
Yesterday, I contacted a friend K. whose wife was terminally ill to ask when I could come and visit, and to offer my help in the form of made up meals to freeze. Then this morning his reply came... She died this morning after three days unconscious. It came as a shock. They were close to us and K is Katya's godfather. The girls often comment that they consider them as part of the family. 
I really feel for K. He has no family at all and no children.
