Lunar Eclipse

Kathy and I awoke last night at 3am to go out to see if we could view the Lunar eclipse.  The slight drizzling rain was not promising.  There was no Moon to be found.  So we harnessed the Frenchies and trundled off to the rest rooms.

Miraculously, when we came out the rain had stopped and the sky was clearing up.  I snapped one acceptable image and we enjoyed watching the eclipse begin to recede showing the brightening upper right side of the Moon's disc.  The clouds enfolded and shrouded the Moon again as we watched.  How very fortunate we felt as we headed back to bed, then awoke to early morning clear skies as the Moon set into the Pacific Ocean.

Kathy and I also enjoyed a blip meet in the afternoon with friends (EvelyneNC) who live here in Florence.
What a great day!
