Raven on Kirkwall Cathedral

I was walking past the cathedral when I heard the 'kronk, kronk of raven and saw one on the tower and another on the weathervane (extra). I've seen them prospecting the tower as a possible nest site, maybe they were house-hunting particularly early. I may be wrong, but I think they started a nest one year which had to be removed because it was blocking an access to the roof. A bit later I was passing the Peedie Sea and counted 52 ringed plover there and grey heron and cormaorant as well as various the ducks and swans.
