Goodbye To The Squirrel Tree

This was a huge old walnut tree - and I used to see one of the neighbourhood squirrels regularly here which always made me smile.

But it was obviously not a healthy tree and so down it came.  Some of the heartwood does look rotten.

A day that started with a 90 minute powerpoint presentation. So I ignored that and followed the T20 Cricket Semi Final between India & England instead.  Obviously I didn't have as much fun as the people who love the sound of their own voices but I was a lot happier.  Well, I had tea and biscuits and cricket - that'll do me.
