Beer & Burgers

Bank holiday Monday so Clanger and I met up with the lovely Karen, Angie, Ann and Baxter for burgers at The Red Squirrel. Clanger here is about to tuck into A Bacon & Cheese Burger with chunky chips (which comes with a red cabbage coleslaw) and he's already worked his way through a pint of Williams Brothers Joker IPA. After the Squirrel we walked up Lothian Road for some beers at The Hanging Bat, we decided to go for the beer flights; Five thirds for £10 which also gets you a free Hanging Bat Glass (£9 without the glass). They give you tokens so you don't have to pick all five to start with, a good idea so each drink is poured fresh when you are ready, or you can always hang on to them for another visit.
