Swans on Mallards Lake

A bit more work on a presentation for the railway AGM on Saturday followed by packing up referees shirts for posting.

The rest of the morning, part of the afternoon and some of the early evening was spent successfully installing the new integrated fridge under the worktop following the diagrams and problem solving as I went along.

Ultimately successful, some minor adjustments to make to line the unit door up with the other units. But it works and is humming quietly away waiting it’s cargo. I understand why people would want to have these sorts of appliances installed!

In between times we went for a walk, passing Mallards Lake where all was quiet until these two swans flew up from the other end of the lake and landed in a frenzy of flapping wings, honking and splashing. What caused all that I wonder?

Tried a new ukulele group tonight at Doddington, where Susan’s guitar group is based. It was very good, everyone there was much better than me, strumming specific patterns for each song and picking too. It’ll stretch me, but that’s good. Huffing and puffing to keep up.

We’re meant to be going to friends in Waltham Abbey tomorrow. All depends whether the protesters block the M25 or not.
