Peony

from my garden. I was under the impression we couldn't grow peonies here because our winters aren't cold enough but someone from the garden group I belong to said that all I needed to do was heap a pile of ice cubes on the dormant plant a few nights during winter which should stimulate the peony into producing flower buds. This plant was bought only a month ago with some flower buds already on it so I haven't tested the theory out. See how we go next year.
