It is the time of year that the ‘Sinterklaasjournaal’ (= the St Nicolas news) is on the television.
According to Dutch tradition St Nicolas (patron saint of children) will arrive by boat from Spain this weekend. On the eve of December 6th children will put out their shoe and hope to find a gift in their shoe the next morning…
