Lest We Forget

The 11th day of the 11th month was always the most important date in my Dad's year, when he remembered those of his comrades in arms who gave their lives for their country.
This poppy brooch was made by a friend.  She makes and sells all kinds of jewellry made from these tiny little beads.  The proceeds of the sale of the poppy brooches goes to the British Legion Poppy Apeal.  I have had this one for a few years now, but I give the cost of a bought one to a British Legion seller when I see one, on my Dad's behalf
