Pacific Banana Slug

A banana slug about 6 inches long making its way slowly along the wet pavement.
The large breathing hole makes this one look like a whale!
They can grow to 10 inches (25cm) long and live to be 7 years old.
Not the most cuddly of critters, but they are fantastic fertilizer factories.
