Museum of the Home

We got home at midnight last night and had a busy day today, I nearly forgot to post. I'll have to catch up on comments tomorrow...

The most interesting thing we did was to go to the Annual Meeting of a charity for which I am a trustee. The Meeting was held in the Museum of the Home (which you may remember as The Geffrye) which recently reopened after a major restoration. We were given a fascinating guided tour by the curator who told us their exciting plans for the future. The Museum was full of families today obviously enthralled. It's great to see a vibrant community museum. The quadrangle in front of the old almshouses probably looks little changed from when it was established in the 18th century.
