Colour still in the garden

The current mild weather seems to be encouraging the flowers in the garden and here are some that are growing in the tractor tyre. They were sown very late and I wondered if they would ever produce the flowers before winter.
The extra is a follow on from my  Remembrance blip and shows my granny’s brother outside his father’s butchers shop in Limekilns . Sadly a few years later he went to war and was killed in 1916 the same year as his cousin was awarded the VC. The butcher’s business was carried on by 2 of his brothers and his sister and then their family and remained as White’s butchers shop until relatively recently. The photo is a bit scratched but it is well over 100 years old !
