Over to A’s after I’d had breakfast, done some Italian and nipped to the shops to get some things she needed.
She’d almost emptied the dining room since yesterday and had done lots to make it feel more organised. We decided to go to Duns to explore a bit. Some imposing architecture and large square in the centre but incredibly quiet and not that many shops. We had a wander round, got a few things in a hardware shop and then had some lunch in a little bistro. I had some delicious soup and A was delighted with her club sandwich!
Back to her place and we repotted one of her plants for the bedroom, hung out some bird feeders, put away clothes in the bedroom and someone came to collect their old washer drier, emptying the dining room still further. We mapped out the sizes of various sofas with masking tape on the sitting room floor and that was really useful in ruling out several they’d been looking at and gave a sense of what would work.
She played her piano whilst I made some pasta and an apple tart for supper, then came home and baked the cake for tomorrow’s lunch….
