Blossom

I was hoping to photograph this blossom on the tree against a deep blue sky as it was yesterday but we are now back to grey skies and wind so that idea was a non-starter.

So instead a cut piece was imported into the trusty light tent and using natural light through the windows with a couple of reflectors and a blue background I made a focus stack of 6 images at varying focus points.

The 6 elements were then merged together in the Helicon Focus programme to form the finished image which should be sharp from front to back. Some finishing touches were made using Lightroom and Vivesa 2

Some of these blossoms are now in the freezer so expect to see a frozen version sometime in the future.
