Ullswater

My friend had suggested an early swim followed by coffee and marmalade sandwiches. Excellent plan. She took today’s blip of me swimming. It was so lovely to be able to warm up in the sunshine afterwards, even though it’s discombobulating.

The rest of the day was spent with a wander, a bit of shopping (bumped into a near neighbour from the old village), cut the grass which was still pretty soggy but as good as it’ll probably get, sorted out a box from under the stairs with a random assortment of stuff that I didn’t know what to do from the old place, and reading prep for tomorrow.

After saying he would text yesterday, the old landlord didn’t and he still hasn’t. He’s either dead or a bit confused by the absence of the read receipts.
