Goshawk

This afternoon a local nature center hosted a wildlife rehabilitation group that deals primarily with raptors.  I was glad I arrived early, for within an hour the crowd surrounding the roped off raptors and their keepers was three deep and difficult to avoid when taking photos.  There were three species of owl, a merlin, caracara, and a couple of hawks.  I was intrigued by this goshawk, a raptor I have not encountered before.  Apparently they are large hawks that are popular in falconry.
