Dachau - Crematorium

The Mistress & I visited Dachau this morning. Very sobering place. The sun was shining, spring was in the air, and it looked very pretty, not at all how a place of so much human suffering should have looked. The Mistress thinks it is a place best visited in midwinter.

So many questions remain unanswered. Why did it happen, why did people turn a blind eye, why was not more done to stop Hitler?

The mistress did learn something - she thought the concentration camps were only for the duration of the war - from 1939 to 1945. She was shocked to find out that they started back in 1933. Nine years of terrible human suffering.
