Part of the Coast Path

The South West Peninsula Coast Path passes through the old Royal William Victualling Yard in Stonehouse Plymouth. I remember reading a walking book in which the Author suggested that after crossing the River Tamar the long-distance trail walker might want to get on a bus to the other side of Plymouth. I can't understand how anyone would want to miss, or could fail to enjoy the 10 miles of Plymouth's waterfront. The whole distance is packed with interest, full of history and has some great views. The section through the Royal William Yard takes in one of the best preserved examples of military architecture in Europe. I have blipped the buildings here a couple of times last year, so walking through the yard today I thought I would give a different view. There are 3 old cranes that have been preserved on the dockside. This one looked good in today's sunshine. Plymouth seems so far to have avoided the thick fog which has affected many other parts of the country.
