Chert

Went to a very interesting geology talk this evening by a young academic who had collected rocks from all over the world stressing how they had been affected by dramatic events, such as floods , storms, earthquakes and collapses. He was a good speaker as well as having a fascinating collection! This rock is one I found on a beach on our last geology field trip!
