Sudden Impact

From yesterday's high of 75°F to today's 37°F. I think that is the most marked change in temperature I've encountered here and surely marks the beginning of winter. No rise in the forecast 10 days out and considerably colder at night.

I thought at first the frothy, or foamy, water was ice, but no and I've no idea what causes this phenomenon. It made for an interesting combination against the dark water.

Of my efforts, I liked this version because of the reflection patterns as the water surface changed in the wind. There is also the texture change from the bubbles to the smoother water. Again, the challenge is what proportion of each to include in the image.
