Loweswater.

This is a view I haven't taken before and was treated to a cloud show too.  I wanted to take the autumn colours before they disappeared and also highlight the heart shape amongst the mixed woodland of Holme Wood.  As you can see the day started well.  There was no rain either, but it did cloud over later in the morning, threatening rain.  The strip of blue below Holme Wood is Loweswater, the only river in Lakeland NOT to flow to the sea, but into Crummock Water as it was once joined to it in the distant past.
