‘Red Sky in the Morning, Shepherds’ Warning.’

This morning’s dawn red sky reflected in tiny bubbles in Inverleith Pond.

There is, in fact, a meteorological justification for the saying, ‘Red sky in the morning shepherds’ warning’.
The red sky has appeared at sunrise because a high-pressure weather system has moved east, and the good weather has passed, most likely making way for a wet and windy low-pressure system.

True to form, the rain started within a couple of hours and has lasted all day!
