Nature Diary... A peaceful end to the day

A crazy day of torrential rain then beautiful blue skies and warm, bright sunshine and... repeat... throughout the day. Very little wind though, which made a pleasant change from the vicious, damaging gales of recent days.
And as though to signal happy days to come to anyone worried about what the next happening weatherwise might be, there appeared a beautiful rainbow colourfully shining behind Big Tree, highlighting its magnificent structure, no matter that it's now devoid of all its leaves.
