On the fen

Off to Wicken Fen today, nice dry day and although cool the sun was shining.
Very quiet and few birds to see.
Hetty was very pleased with the National Trust lady at reception as she gave her a biscuit.
After our walk we asked two ladies in the reception area if they knew of a pub nearby that did food and was dog friendly, they did and gave us directions.
It was dog friendly if you sat outside or in a very large shed, but we needed to eat and there seemed to be nowhere else close by. Not only did hubby have to go back to the bar to order but they gave him a contraption that buzzed when our food was ready and he had to go and collect it. Wish we had just gone back to the cottage for lunch.
Nice walk late afternoon.
