Madison

Meet Madison, very shortly after she’d been born, the momentous news hinted at yesterday. She’s the daughter of our son Chris and his partner Carly in California, who was born yesterday at 14.59 PCT and 22.59 GMT, just as the last notes from Bellowhead faded away. What an evening….

Mum and daughter are both fine. Madison is a healthy 7lbs 12 oz and is doing very well indeed and seems very content. No doubt that will change. We’ve seen little snippets of video as well as photos sent by Chris and Carly’s mum. She’s a perfect little gem.

We toasted her arrival with a glass of wine back at the hotel and it was quite late when we finally signed off for the night as messages and photos kept pinging in.

Landon was told of the arrival of his sister by his mum. She sent a lovely little video. Somehow, he seemed to know Madison had been born! He’ll meet her tomorrow.

It will not be too long until we see them all as we fly out at the end of January. We’re hoping to FaceTime later this evening.

I hope you’ll understand that I didn’t take the shot! Us travelling to Brighton seems to coincide either with bad weather (3 occasions now) or milestone family events.
