Just Married

Not a traditional marriage for my daughter Caitlin. Her friend who works at Queensland's State Parliament is also a Wedding Celebrant. So Caity asked her if she could marry them at Parliament House (areas not usually accessed by the public). Only 3 witnesses (myself, Leigh and  Gun's mum from South Korea joined them for the official ceremony in the House). We then caught up with close friends and family at the Parliamentary Member's Bar for a celebration (everone had to go through airport security); No-one else knew they were getting married- hence the bright sashes. Later today (Saturday) we are having the advertised, "engagement party" for over 100 people (previously organised in advance). Caity is a quiet alternative and didn't want the traditional wedding. They are moving early next year to a North Queensland town to begin work at the local hospital as an ER doctor and Clinical Psychologist.
