Wariness

Mercury on one of his permitted walks outside the cage encountered the lit stove fir the first time. 

Unlike our previous cat Piccolo, he chose to stay well clear. In fact, he seemed worried by the movement of the flames, standing stock still and staring when he first saw it, so we think his previous owner can't have had an open fire or stove.
