Preparations & birthdays!

The day started with a birthday breakfast with a couple of friends. I then dropped R off to go kayaking with more friends & while they were paddling the Tyne, I went to sort out the preparations for the evenings celebrations.

All the while Dane our collie waited patiently for his turn & a lovely long autumnal walk & run chasing his toy! You can just see him. He doesn’t usually go that far from me but he was telling me he’d had to wait for his run so was having a good time whilst still coming back when called!

Later it was back to the cottage for showers & change & then to the venue where a lovely evening was had with many friends that had travelled to help R celebrate his birthday. A lovely meal, cake & fizz to join it. The lovely R was a happy man!
