The Fiddler

Out to the Fiddle Festival club tonight. A few pints with DougM and JacktheLad in the Auld Hoose, first time there in as long as I can remember, then a short walk down to The Pleasance. Don’t know what happened this year but the place was almost empty - maybe the main concert didn’t draw a crowd? - and it got emptier as the night wore on. Felt sorry for the bands playing but they seemed to enjoy themselves anyway, as fiddlers always do. The Orcadian kids that were on last were fantastic so I was glad we hung on to the end!
