Dining adventure

I didn’t take any photos during the day so was relying on our evening out to provide a blip. I was not disappointed. A group of us had booked a meal at the hotel along the road from where we live. They aren’t usually open to non-residents but as they are now closed to guests for the season they decided to open for locals for two evenings with a special menu. The main shows my least favourite course, red cabbage gazpacho with mustard ice-cream, but it was served up in the most beautiful slate soup dish. The extra shows another of the nine courses, salmon with beetroot and horseradish - delicious! Altogether, it was a superb meal will many interesting flavours,  very thoughtful presentation, and a delightful fun-filled evening with good company.
