A lovely fungal ruff

I certainly wasn’t expecting such a beautiful day. It was good to see so many people out enjoying a Saturday morning walk in the sunshine.

Spotted this tree stump with its lovely frilly collar …… if the sun hadn’t been shining on on the forest floor I expect that I wouldn’t have noticed the fungus.
